Photo A Day: Not Quite Urban Decay 1, Milton, PA

In honor of getting a new camera and needing a reason to play with it…welcome to my Photo A Day! Topic: Whatever strikes my fancy. Frequency: Daily-ish. I hope.

Whenever I drive to Milton–which is fairly often, since I work there–I kind of obsessively stare at this building. I mean, I don’t stare so much that I drive my car into other things, but still. I always look. There’s something about this place that draws my eye, and I don’t know what it is.

So the other day, on the first really beautiful, go-out-and-walk-around-in-the-bright-sunny-warmth day of spring, I ended up at this dilapidated husk of a building. George thinks it was once a restaurant, but now it’s just falling apart storage for the bowling alley across the way.

Behold! The front door.

Nothing in Milton, PA is urban. But the decay is real.

Stay tuned. There’s more of this weird, quirky, sad little building to come.
